Pacific Bariatric Surgical Medical Group is a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® (BSCOE) with over 15,000 surgeries. The Pacific Bariatric Surgery Group has a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery.  A Center of Excellence must meet strict criteria for safety, low complication rates, dedication to follow-up of their patients and documentation of high success rates. Only a handful of bariatric surgeons in California have achieved this designation.

Our seminars give prospective patients the opportunity to meet our surgeons and ask them questions. This is not a marketing seminar. This is hosted by our doctors so that you can ask them all of your questions. Patients travel to us from all over the U.S., including Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Riverside and El Centro. Our surgeons are leading experts in Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery, LAP-BAND® surgery, REALIZE band surgery and gastric sleeve surgery.

Long-term studies show that bariatric surgery causes significant long-term loss of weight, recovery from diabetes, improvement in cardiovascular risk factors, and a reduction in mortality of 23% from 40%. The U.S. National Institutes of Health recommends bariatric surgery for obese people with a body mass index (BMI) of at least 40, and for people with BMI 35 and serious coexisting medical conditions such as diabetes. However, research is emerging that suggests bariatric surgery could be appropriate for those with a BMI of 35 to 40 with no comorbidities or a BMI of 30 to 35 with significant comorbidities. If you would like to learn more about bariatric surgery from leading surgeons we invite you to join us at one of our upcoming seminars near you.
